Cats, Bats, and Ants

Tim Fish Here. I thought I should write something...Anything. I enjoy watching our cat, Gabby. Right now we have just one lamp on, while Cynthia and I sit next to one another on the love seat. Both of us are clicking away on our computers. She's looking at facebook and instant messaging friends, and I'm doing this. Our cat is sitting on the back of the couch watching small insects fly around the lamp. Every now and then she'll take a swipe at one of them...Ah life is good.

I went out in the garage for a few minutes this evening and tinkered around on my new work bench. I will be purchasing some more materials soon, so that I can build some bat houses. I want to give one to my daughter-in-law, who is an organic farmer, growing stuff that people put on food. (Not food, but stuff you put on food) I may also give one to Cynthia's daughter, and make one for us as well. We sit out in the back yard at dusk and I think it would be fun to watch the bats come out at night. Each bat can eat up to 1000 mosquitoes per night. Mmmm.. Did you know that Fire Ants eat chiggers? I wonder if I could build an ant house, so that ants would come and eat them. Perhaps just put out a picnic for them....

The Texas heat wave continues, and it's been reported to me that we've not had any rain now for the entire month of June. Yet, for some reason, my grass continues to grow....Conspiracy? I report, You Decide.
