Grandsons and Politics

Tim Fish Here. I walked into the house this evening after work to be met by Cynthia who handed me her cell phone. On the other end was our grandson, David who is two years old. "I miss you grandpa" he said. He woke up from his nap missing his Nana and Grandpa. Soon we'll have him visiting and we'll cook marshmellows out in the firebox outside on the patio. We'll take him to Dairy Queen for ice cream and spoil him as much as we can before sending him back home. (No wonder he misses us) I also have a suprise for him mom and dad whenever they get here. (hint)

Well, Arlen Specter, the low life politician from Pennsylvania has switched parties. Not a real big deal since he was a RINO anyway. I say GOOD RIDANCE! I hope he'll take John McCain and others like them with him. Maybe then we can elect some honorable constitution loving people to their vacated offices.

Blessings and Birds

Tim Fish Here. Boy what a great rainy night. I think the lightning was right on top of us. Don't you love to be sleeping in a dry bed when it's pouring rain? My thoughts quickly turn to all the people in the world who aren't as blessed. I thank God for taking such good care of me. It wasn't anything that I did to be born into a rich country at this time in history. Think of all the people through the centuries who took shelter anywhere they could during storms. Then I'm reminded of all those same people who went to sleep hungry, wondering where their next meal would come from. How blessed are we? We just need to be thankful for the simple things in life. With great blessings come great responsibility. How are we, (me) helping my fellow man? Do I ignore the man on the street with a sign, begging for money, or do I just assume he's a scam artist? I think that sometimes situations like that are placed before me just to see what my reaction will be.

And now for something completely different. I've been buying bird seed for over a year now, and feeding the birds. I have four, (count em 4) birdfeeders in my back yard. Three for seeds and one of those hummingbird feeders. Our yard is a hubbub of activity. We enjoy sitting there and watching them, and listening to all the songs they sing. We've got black birds, Redwinged Blackbirds, Cardinals, Red Headed birds, Yellow breasted birds, sparrows, and doves. Sometimes even pidgeons gather. I've been thinking of putting out raw meat just to see if there are any bears in the neighborhood....

Aches and Pains

Tim Fish Here. I have GOT to get a hottub!! I have been introduced to the healing properties of lying in a tub of hot water. I was crawling around on my hands and knees all day painting a machine room floor. Then after work, I did the thing I hate the most. I mowed the yard. (yuck) I did the obligatory weed eating, and then sprayed more weed poison on the infernal weeds. I'm getting too old to work for a living. I know I should have stayed in school. (Not really, I love my job)

Read All About it

Tim Fish Here. Yes that's me in the picture that was FRONT PAGE news in the Eagle. the Bryan newspaper. (Go to theeagle.com for complete details) I'm famous!! People are buying me lunch and recognising me everywhere I go. I hope the paparazzi stops this madness soon so I can get back to normal life. (whew)

And now for something completely different.

Great Tea Party

Tim Fish Here! Whoa Boy what a great protest! I have an awesome family that would come out and protest with me. I can tell that the grand kids have a great future in protestation. Is there a college course for that or do you just learn it from 'on the job training'? I just hope that the government keeps doing dumb things to keep the protesters employed. Is there a government program that subsidises protests? Oh yeah, there is, President Obama's own "ACORN".

My precious grand kids at their best.

Art Liaison?

Tim Fish Here. Oh Brother, Obama. Now he's going to appoint an "Art Liaison"? Why should the Government have anything at all to do with Art? Who is this 'Art' guy and what's his significance? How come Obama doesn't appoint a "Tim Liaison"? I'm just as important as Art. I'm trying to be someone that President Obama would want to Liaison with. More importantly, we should have a 'Barbecue Liaison'. I mean everyone needs to know about barbecue. Especially Kansas City Barbecue. Mmmm...

Speaking of Barbecue, we're (My sweet wife Cynthia and I) are going to Huntsville with some friends today to eat some barbecue. I skipped breakfast so that I can be especially hungry. We all know that even bad barbecue is better than no barbecue.

Tea party news. It takes a great deal of time to make a quality protest poster. I may have to rethink my efforts. I have one side of my poster blocked out with cool letters, and now I have to color in the letters. I may not have time to do the backside of the poster. I did want to be a double postered protester. Where do all of these other protesters get their posters? Is there a poster service that makes them for you? Perhaps this will be a business opportunity in these trying times. Hmmmm...

Yo Ho, Blow the Man Down

Tim Fish Here. Has anyone else wondered why the Somalian Pirates are still using up the world's resources, ie: air, water, and food? They took control of a United States Ship, then the crew (God Bless Them) took the ship back, and somehow no one Keel Hauled the buggers. THEN, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, (after she stopped laughing) said that the world needs to come together and help come up with a plan to stop this, and the United Nations needs to agree on a "resolution" condemning their actions.... How about this....KILL THE PIRATES!!! I might sick my new best friend, Gene the exterminator on them.

I hope everyone is preparing for the coming Tea Party. I am making posters, so that I can be an effective protester/Hooligan. I've been inviting everyone I speak to during my work day. So far no takers. Hmmmm.... Is it me? Am I too 'over the top'?

More baby news.....Everyone who has fewer than 7 grandchildren, take one step forward, NOT SO FAST THERE McCULLOUGH.

Tim Fish Here. We are having a local Tea Party in Bryan, College Station!!

Where: Tanglewood Park, 3900 Carter Creek Parkway

I hope everyone in my area will be there. I intend to make a sign and become an activist or a protestor or a hooligan, or whatever you call it.

Today, Gene the Exterminator went to one of my elevator machine rooms and killed hundreds, (or maybe tens) of cockroaches. He's my new hero. I made video.

This weekend we are getting our first experience at babysitting two grandchildren by ourselves. I have stocked up on candy, in keeping with a tradition of having a "candy drawer". Pray for us old folks, trying to keep up with the younguns.
