Tim Fish Here. Sorry for the long delay in writing. My beloved turned 50 yesterday!! Yep, you heard me. I'm so proud of her. I love telling anyone that will listen to me about her greatness. We took a road trip to Houston and visited IKEA. (Yuck) Then stopped at a roadside stand for watermelon and strawberries. Mmm... Had dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Whatta happy birthday.

I must tell you about my new grand daughter. One word..WOW! She's a BEAUTY!! I need to hook up my camera and give you all some pictures.

Boats and Bats

Tim Fish Here. Today was an awesome day! We went over to Aaron's house and took a ride on lake Conroe in his new Tracker, Tahoe ski boat. Whoa Momma what a great time!! He even let me drive it!! I was a good boat driver and kept it in the water the whole time! Hoop-T-Do, La-T-Da!! Also went to one of my favorite stores, The WOODCRAFT STORE!! I bought several new wood carving/whittling knives, cause we all know how much I love to carve wood. Also bought a whittling book and a DVD about building bird houses, and saw some bat houses and got good ideas.

I'm making bat houses for my sweet daughter-in-law for her Organic Herb Farm. If anyone wants one of my awesome bat houses, let me know, because as we all know, BATS ARE OUR FRIENDS!!

Stay away from the fire

Tim Fish Here. It's been a few days since my last post. I don't have a lot of new news, but we'll see what pours out when my fingers start moving.

I read a new book called "Animal Farm" written by George Orwell. It's a good book and an easy read. It's about a bunch of animals that run off the farmer and take over the farm. They begin as Socialists with a pig leader named 'Snowball'. Snowball has a good heart and truly wants everyone to share equally in the work and wealth, but is soon ran off the farm by another pig named 'Napoleon'. He takes over with the help of some dogs that he raised secretly in the barn. By the end of the book the old horse can't tell the difference between the pigs and the humans. Just another lesson in how power corrupts. I wish it weren't so, but our founding fathers understood that government is like fire. To be used as long as we are master over it, but once out of control there's no stopping it. Much like the current government. Hmmmm...

Waffles

Tim Fish Here. My wife is AWESOME!!!! She purchased a Belgian Waffle maker and took over an hour and a half to make them from SCRATCH!! I went into a Belgian Waffle coma after eating 3 of them. It took me two days to come completely out of it. Those were the best waffles in the history of the human race, and I ate them. I hope to have another induced coma next weekend too. Mmmmm...

Cats, Bats, and Ants

Tim Fish Here. I thought I should write something...Anything. I enjoy watching our cat, Gabby. Right now we have just one lamp on, while Cynthia and I sit next to one another on the love seat. Both of us are clicking away on our computers. She's looking at facebook and instant messaging friends, and I'm doing this. Our cat is sitting on the back of the couch watching small insects fly around the lamp. Every now and then she'll take a swipe at one of them...Ah life is good.

I went out in the garage for a few minutes this evening and tinkered around on my new work bench. I will be purchasing some more materials soon, so that I can build some bat houses. I want to give one to my daughter-in-law, who is an organic farmer, growing stuff that people put on food. (Not food, but stuff you put on food) I may also give one to Cynthia's daughter, and make one for us as well. We sit out in the back yard at dusk and I think it would be fun to watch the bats come out at night. Each bat can eat up to 1000 mosquitoes per night. Mmmm.. Did you know that Fire Ants eat chiggers? I wonder if I could build an ant house, so that ants would come and eat them. Perhaps just put out a picnic for them....

The Texas heat wave continues, and it's been reported to me that we've not had any rain now for the entire month of June. Yet, for some reason, my grass continues to grow....Conspiracy? I report, You Decide.

Major Awards, 6 Flags and Poop Smears

Tim Fish Here. It's Here! It's Here! My major award!!! My 19" LCD HD TV from KONE for my 25 years of exemplary service!! Woo Hoo!!! It's beautiful, ooooooo. My first program was FOX News of course. Now I can't wait for my 30 year award. What will it be? What will it be?

The Fishes went to Six Flags over Texas on Saturday. I went with much anticipation, expecting to get my roller coaster groove on. Wellll...the old man just can't seem to ride em like he used to. I hate to admit it, but they gave me motion sickness. This may be the last trip to an amusement park, sadly. Also, It was HOT, How Hot? Damn Hot!

We also discovered a new standard for making major purchases. Cynthia was looking at puppies the other day, and once she realized that it was covered in poop, she didn't want it. So... from now on, if there is a purchase we are thinking about, we go to the store and smear dog poop on it. If we're willing to clean it off, then we'll buy it. What a great idea!! I'm going to patent it. Every time someone smears poop on a new big screen t.v. or new car, I'll get a royalty check!! I'll be rich!
